“Assault Weapons” Ban POLICY

Status of the Bill

Washington state’s proposed “Assault Weapons” Ban (AWB) HB1240 has been signed into law.   The bill, makes it illegal to sell, transfer, distribute, ect. what the legislature has defined as an assault weapon. Securité will not be able to sell or transfer any of the affected items.

Securite Gun Club has put together a PDF flowchart that will help guide you through determining if a firearm meets the criteria for an “Assault Weapon”.  This is just a guide and is not intended to be a legal document.

Transfers of an AWB Items and Firearm 
If your transfer is covered by the AWB, it will be YOUR responsibility to arrange a return back to the originator of the firearm.

Securité will assist you in returning the item(s) but you or the originator will be responsible to provide a pre-paid return label and cover any additional costs involved in returning the firearm.

This must be done as soon as possible.   If the firearm is still in our possession after 30 days, our standard storage fees will apply.  After 120 days, the item will be deemed as abandoned.

This is a challenging time for our community and Securité Gun Club will do what we can to assist you in exercising your rights.

FFL  TRANSFER INFORMATION

Transferring items to Securite Gun Club?

  1.  Provide our  Securite FFL Information (click here) to the vendor.  Make sure that the vendor includes your name, contact information and invoice in the package that is sent
    -> For FFLs that require non-redacted FFL copies please go here
  2. Send a message to  info@securitegunclub.com  to let us know that an item is on its way
  3. We will contact you when the item arrives.
  4. BEFORE coming sure that you have
    1.  A Paper PRINT OUT the your RECEIPT showing the price and any TAXES PAID
    2. For Semi-Automatic Rifles, a completed and signed 1639 compliance training Form will be required [ Click Here for Free Training ]
    3. Up-to-date Driver’s License with current address OR a printout from DOL [ Click Here to update license ]
    4. Green card, VISA or other licenses as applicable (if applicable)
  5. Come in, fill out the appropriate paperwork, pay the applicable fees and sales taxes.
  6. The state has 10 business days from the date of successful receiving to review your application.  The application expires 30 days after completion.
  7. On Approval, we will contact you to come and pick it up.  NOTE:  Please ensure that the contact number is able to receive voice messages if you are not available when we call.

NOTE: Any FFL transfers received after 3:00 pm on Friday, on Saturday or Sunday will be processed on Tuesday in the order they were received.  Carrier notifications of delivery does not mean that it has been received into our system.  You will be notified when you can come in and prepare paperwork,.

“High Capacity” Magazines

Securité will NOT transfer any 10+ round magazines if received as part of a transfer.

Any firearm arriving with a 10+ round magazine on or after July 1,2022 will have the magazine removed before the firearm is transferred.

If you would like us to mail the magazines out of state, bring a shipping box with prepaid postage and we will happily mail it for you.
The box must be supplied on the day transfer of the firearm is complete.

NOTE:  No replacements or substitutions will be made.
